Masonry labourer job description:

We’re looking to add a skilled and hard-working masonry labourer to our team

The mason's helper is responsible for transporting bricks to the work area, and from there to the scaffold where the mason is working. Other duties are, mixing mortar and transporting it to the work area and cut bricks as needed for corners, arches and complex patterns.

• Mixing Mortar
• Cutting brick and stone
• Erecting scaffolding
• Supplying mason with product and materials
• Maintaining a clean and safe worksite
• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and ramps as required at construction sites
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as masonry mortar
• Assist masonss
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

Job location: Job sites are throughout Essex County

Job start date: As soon as possible

Employment terms: Permanent – Full time

Wage information and conditions:

• Wage from $22/Hr.-$26/Hr. (Range may depend on experience)
  • Pay increases based on:
    1. Being on time;
    2. Attendance;
    3. Performance; and
    4. Reliability
  • Minimum hours: 40 Hours per week (Weather depending)
    • This profession is seasonal.
    • This profession is weather dependent. Inclement weather days (rain, snow, etc.) will result in no work.
  • Maximum hours: 50 Hours per week.

Own Tools/Equipment:

• Steel-toed safety boots (required)
• Hard hat (can be provided)

Transportation/Travel:
