Lend a Hand Spring Clean Up Day

As the grass begins to grow and flowers begin to bloom, it’s time to embrace the spirit of renewal and community by participating in our Lend a Hand Spring Clean Up Day! We’re reaching out to local organizations and groups to join us in making our community shine.

SCHEDULE:
- 9:00 am – Check in at the Registration desk at South Essex Community Council (SECC) Office located at 215 Talbot Street East in Leamington and receive your FREE t-shirt
- 9:30 am – Welcome & Event Kick off

- Orientation – including details of your service location, specific tasks & safety guidelines
- Preparing to Get Moving – Stretch & Shine with Karen

- 9:45 am – Depart and head to your service location – please be sure you have transportation to get to your service location for the day
- 10:00 am – 1:00: Lending a Hand: Volunteers gather at senior’s homes and perform exterior clean up
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE EVENT?
- Bring a rake, broom and some garden tools! SECC will provide gloves and yard waste bags
- Lunch will be provided at your service location courtesy of Domino’s Pizza
- Dress for the weather – comfortable work clothing, closed toed shoes, hat & sunscreen are suggested
- Students are eligible to receive Community Service Hours for participating in this volunteer activity
