Settlement Services

Settlement Services

Knowledgeable Settlement Workers provide orientation and information supports to permanent residents, convention refugees, refugee claimants, naturalized Canadians and temporary visitors to help them identify and achieve their settlement goals. Clients undergo a comprehensive needs and assets assessment to help determine required supports and develop a customized settlement plan.

Supports and services to help clients in their settlement journey include assistance with various government applications and forms, referrals to language classes, workshops on a variety of settlement-related topics (housing, education, health and wellness, finances, rights and responsibilities, community resources), and, when necessary, language interpretation and document translation. Services are provided in English, French, Arabic, Spanish and other languages upon request.
