Crawford Packaging is Growing!!! We broke ground on our new Essex location and are now looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hard-working individual for our Field Service Technician position. This position is based out of Essex, ON. Our Service Technicians install and service automatic and semi-automatic packaging equipment. We are looking for an individual with an Electrician license paired with troubleshooting and mechanical experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Installing semi-automatic and automatic packaging equipment
  • Training Customers on how to operate the equipment we install
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems both in house and in customer facilities
  • Ability to comprehend and identify process issues on the equipment
  • Must be available to our customers for on call support
  • Applicant must be willing and able to travel within North America

Skills Needed

  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills geared to the industrial sector
  • Possess Electrician 309A or 442A license, and strong mechanical knowledge/skill
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve on a case by case basis under pressure
  • Must be comfortable training clients often in a group environment, showcasing how to run and maintain the equipment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both clients and colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft and other multiple software systems
  • 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Valid Driver’s License and clear drivers abstract is required
