Reports to: Controller

Duties, Responsibilities and Guidelines:

  • Reconciliation of G/L accounts
  • Produce month end reports
  • Assist with monthly consolidation package
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
  • Approval payments (cheques, EFT, etc)
  • Filing and remittances of various taxes (GST/HST, PST, payroll, WSIB, EHT)
  • Prepare documents, data and working papers for annual audit
  • Assist in annual budget preparation
  • Work with management in understanding and analyzing financial data with the goal to improve and drive business
  • Coordinate and submit timely and accurate inventory control data and analysis for Monthly/Annual Materials Management
  • Investigate physical inventory count discrepancies
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of warehouse excess and conduct a formal inventory at least once annually
  • Create and maintain Fixed Asset Description Catalog and Location Log
  • Perform other duties as required. The position will evolve over time as the situation changes with respect to products and services offered by Biobest

Education, experience and skills:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or business
  • 3 years in accounting or finance related role
  • Experience with ERPs and accounting software
  • Excellent English; additional languages would be an asset
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Collaborative and consensual approach; team approach is a must
  • Inquisitive mind, drive to challenge status quo and to improve systems

 Languages: English.

 Location:  Leamington, ON (Canada). The position may require occasional travel.

Status: Salaried

Hours:  Office hours, with flexibility to work with team members in different time zones
