Lianne (2)

Q.     How long have you worked at SECC?

A:     Began in March as an LBS Instructor. Now as a Program Leader for a few weeks.

Q:    What do you remember about your first day?

A:      I felt very welcomed and eager to begin my new career path.

Q:     I know it’s only been a short time but, what is the highlight of your career here at SECC?

A:     Being able to not only help behind the scenes of the organization as a Program Leader, but also assist on the front line as a teacher.

Q:     What is your favourite song of all time?

A:     Hard question – “Black or White” – Michael Jackson

Q:     I have to know, why that song?

A:     This song makes me want to turn the volume up and sing along. Not sure why it has this effect on me, but it does. Really, anything Michael Jackson is amazing

Q:     Name one thing on your bucket list.

 A:     Backpack through Europe

Q:     Who was the one person who had the greatest impact on you and why?

A:     My sister! She graduated from Nursing at the age of 44 (with distinction). She worked full time, took care of her son who has Type 1 diabetes, and volunteered as a couch for her son’s soccer team. She did it all and never         gave up on her dreams.

Q:     What did you want to be when you grew up?

A:     A teacher that taught abroad.

Q:     If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

A:     Visit every country in the world.

Q:     What was the greatest meal you have ever eaten?

A:     Authentic Pad Thai that I had when I travelled to Thailand. Absolutely delicious!

Q:     You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you going to go?

A:     Bora Bora.

Q:     What is it about Bora Bora, other than the cool name of course?

A:     Bora Bora—private hut in the middle of the water, with glass floors so you can see the fish in the crystal, clear, blue water, who wouldn’t want to go there?

Q:     Good point. last question. If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?

A:     I am married and have two beautiful boys. I couldn’t imagine a life without them.
