Summer Jobs Service provides students 15-30 years of age with work experience during the summer months starting in April. Hiring incentives of $2.00 per hour is available to employers who provide summer jobs. Year round assistance with resume preparation and job searching for students is available to help them secure summer employment or part-time jobs while attending school. Employers can post job opportunities for students throughout the year.
Student Eligibility
Students must be:
- 15 to 30 years old
- Planning to return to school in the fall
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Hired by a person to whom they are NOT related

Employer Eligibility for Hiring Incentive
Employers must:
- Operate and offer a job in Ontario
- Not be related to the student(s) they are hiring
- Maintain WSIB or alternative workplace insurance and third party liability insurance
- Not displace existing staff
- Not be receiving other funding for the same student
