Income Tax Clinic 2016

SECC provides free income tax preparation and e-filing for qualified individuals through Canada Revenue Agency’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)

To qualify, participants must have a gross household income:

Single person – up to $30,000.

One adult + 1 child – up to $35,000

Per additional child – +2,500

Couple – up to $40,000

Wednesday March 2nd

9 am  – 12 pm

 

Thursday March 3rd

1 pm – 4 pm

 

Tuesday March 8th

5 pm – 8 pm

 

Wednesday March 9th

1 pm – 4 pm

 

Saturday March 12th

10 am -3 pm

 

Tuesday March 15th

5 pm -8 pm

 

Wednesday March 16th

1 pm -4 pm

 

Thursday March 17th

1 pm – 4 pm

Things you must bring to your appointment:

 

  1. Last year’s income tax return and Notice of Assessment.

 

  1. SIN number

 

  1. Receipts of income
  • Salary/wages – T4’s, interest income, pension, annuity income, registered retirement income, Canada’s savings bonds, old age security, social assistance payments – T5, worker’s compensation, employment insurance

 

  1. Receipts for expenses
  • Property taxes or rent for each place you lived this year, including the address,  child care expenses, medical expenses, charitable donations, , union dues, tuition fees, political donations

 

  1. New Immigrants
  • For new immigrants bring along your immigration documents – i.e. Permanent Resident card (PR card), or Record of Landing, or Canadian Citizenship card, etc.
