Erie Shore Community Transit

 Provides seniors and persons with disabilities with affordable door-to-door assisted transportation using agency vehicles that are walk-on, walker and wheelchair accessible.

Services are available up to 7 days per week including limited services on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Services outside of regular hours of operation are also available at additional expense to persons served.  

Our transit operators are able to assist persons served onto and out of vehicles as well as seeing them to the front door of their destination.  Persons served access ESCT for medical appointments, shopping, church services, social visiting and other special occasion events such as weddings and funeral services.

Eligibility

ESCT services are available to persons who are residents of Leamington, Kingsville or Wheatley and are:

• A senior; or
• An adult age 18+ who is temporarily or permanently physically disabled; or
• An adult age 18+ who is visually impaired or living with Alzheimer's Disease or other dementia; or
• An adult age 18+ who is deemed eligible on other grounds upon consultation with ESCT staff

Within Leamington, Kingsville and Wheatley
$5.00 one-way / $10.00 round-trip

To Windsor & all other areas in Essex County
$10.00 one-way / $20.00 round-trip

Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Weekends, call for details
Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Sunday & Christmas Day,
             9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Scheduling

Trips are by reservation only. Trips within Leamington, Kingsville and Wheatley must be scheduled two business days in advance.

Trips to Windsor are only available on Thursdays and must be scheduled one week in advance.

ESCT is a type of public transit system so persons served will be sharing the bus with other scheduled riders during their trip.

    Riders will be picked up and dropped off as close as possible to their appointment time but may be required to accept a time slightly earlier or later on busy days.
Priority will always be given to medical trips over social-type trips when demand is high on a given day.
