A Client Success

Peter Saba came to SECC seeking retraining at first.  Gabe Ligotino, Program Leader for Employment Connections, worked with Peter on a career goal that he felt best suited him.  Throughout the process, Peter expressed interest in eventually owning his own business. Peter followed up with Gabe about the idea and asked if there were any agencies that would assist with the process of starting a new business.

Along the way, Peter was approached by a close friend of his, Josh Mastronardi, who asked if Peter would like to partner on a business plan together.  The business plan involved taking freshly picked, locally grown produce and delivering it right to customers’ doors throughout Windsor and Essex County.

Peter was referred to the Windsor-Essex Small Business Centre.  There, Peter and Josh were able to create a business plan, as well as learn many strategies and tools to support a new business.  Upon completion, Peter and Josh will receive a generous grant to assist with their new company.  As a result of his hard work and dedication, Go Produce Inc. (http://www.goproducenow.com) was created and launched April 28, 2016.  Peter is a great example of dreams coming true.  SECC wishes Peter and Josh all the success in the world as they move forward.  Cheers!”
